October months JUG Meeting was held in Persistent Systems Limited on 13th October 2013. 19 Java geeks attended the event out of them few were students, professional and teachers.

JUG Nagpur JavaOne India 2013 participation report

The JavaOne 2013 conference was held at HICC on 8th and 9th May. The conference was a resounding success with a great vibe, excellent technical content and a plethora of world class speakers and technical architects. Some notable speakers included Ashwin Rao, Jim Weaver, Stephen Chin, Simon Ritter and Arun Gupta - famously known as the Glassfish guy.

Java has moved forward, from the tagline “Moving Java Forward to “Make the Future Java”, and it does that indeed.

Java User Group Nagpur (JUG Nagpur) conducted its monthly meet on 26th May at IT Mystix, Nagpur.

Participants included IT students as well as professionals. The meet began with JUnit session by Ketan Barapatre which covered
interesting annotations in JUnit 4.5. Practical demonstrations further enhanced the understanding of the use case.

JavaOne and Oracle Develop conference India 2012 - participation report

The JavaOne and Oracle Develop conference 2012 concluded this Friday on May 4th at the International Convention Center, Hyderabad. The event was huge success, spanning over two days with over 2000 attendees! This year’s JavaOne event promised a wealth of content not only in terms of technology, but also in terms of tools, resources and best practices.

Open Source Technology Seminar held on 17th Dec. 2011 at RCOEM

A seminar addressing the topic “Open Source Technology” was held at Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management.

The event was attended mainly by students pursuing engineering in Computer Science. It was a very informative session, as students were not only made aware about “Open Source Technology” but were also introduced to the resourcefulness of the same in their prospective career planning and coding passion.

College Awareness Sessions starting from 17th December 2011

Java User Group Nagpur will have a session for all on this Saturday, 17th December 2011, at SRKNEC (Ramdeobaba college of engineering)

This is the first event in the series of college awareness sessions of JUGNagpur. This session will introduce the college students with JUGNagpur and will invite them to join the group.

The November 2011 meet for JUG Nagpur was conducted on 27th Nov 2011 at IT Mystix, Persistence Tower, Nagpur.
